I believe that our environment is a true reflection of our inner core. For the past year, my home office has been more of an art studio than an actual office. In 2012, I was obsessed with painting- using art as a vehicle to overcome fear in my life and help others to overcome theirs. As 2013 continues to fly by, I have not created one piece of art!! I found that my passion has developed into writing and teaching the journey of overcoming fear and opening to our hearts desires. Last week, I noticed a yearning for my truth to reflect in my home office space. I was craving a space to pray, write and express new ideas.

My heart leaped with excitement, while my mind felt a twinge of fear. I knew creating the space would open a new door to rise to my desires. I chose to follow the excitement in my heart and went to explore my options. After checking out a few places, I stopped at Whole Foods for a snack and walked over to The Container Store. There it was. With the help of a wonderful assistant, I found new furniture that would fulfill my needs and inspire my creativity. I purchased a small, simple desk and fun, puzzle-like shelves. The vibe was modern, elegant and creative.

I rushed home and quickly picked up my art pieces, the drop cloth that had covered my office space floor for the last year, paints and paintbrushes. My office began to quickly transform. I deconstructed my old desk and with help, began to build the new furniture. As I made the space for new, I noticed that I felt in flow with life- I had been so easily guided to the perfect fit and the transformation of the space was unfolding before my eyes. Although I still had a lot to do, I went to sleep that night feeling so grateful.

I invite you to reflect today- Does your environment reflect what you desire most? What are you feeling right now? Do you feel like you are in flow with life or are you traveling upstream, pushing against the natural flow?
