Valentine’s Day is a crazy day. We can choose to create fear or love. Truth or fantasy.
Fourteen years ago, I was a freshman in college all excited and wondering how my Valentine’s Day would unfold. What actually occurred was not in my plan. I received a call from my Mom asking me to come home. I enjoyed a great evening with my family not realizing everything was about to change. Over the course of ten hours and my decision to leave the room, my father died in my Mother’s arms. I was shattered. I began to live in fear and illusion.
2.14.11…
14 years and I can finally say that I feel love. I see love. I am love. Yes, I have days that are amazing and days that are not. The difference is that I embrace it and allow movement. I can identify and let go of the beliefs that hold me back. I can let go of perfection and allow the messy.
The truth of Valentine’s Day is to genuinely love. Love yourself for who you are. Love your life for where you are. Wherever you are at. Love everyone that is in it or out of it. They are there for a purpose.
Is it only your perception that may need to change? Are you in fear… or love? Truth… or fantasy?
Happy Valentine’s Day with love to all!
