Thank you to all of you for your responses to my last blog post! If you missed it, you can find it here. At the end of the post, I posed a question asking, “What is stirring inside of you yearning to be expressed?”

In my experience, a block in creative expression can cause great pain in life. We are here to create. In fact, we are constantly creating in each and every moment through our thoughts, beliefs, choices and actions. Many of us struggle with understanding what we want to create and others struggle with how to create it. I have personally struggled in both areas.

Through my journey,  I discovered the choice to block creative expression has been a generational pattern in my family. My Mom spent most her life caring for others and ignoring her gifts as an Artist. Through her own path of personal growth, she has experienced the cost of blocking the creative flow. While at an event last year, a friend presented  us with a writing contest. In that moment, we both knew it was time to share our messages of love and hope with the world.

Today, I am so proud to share that my Mom, Darvina Emmerich, has published her first book “How to Float When You’re About to Sink!” “How to Float When You’re About to Sink” takes you through my Father’s journey with cancer- the months of waiting, of hope and hopelessness, of surrender, and of seemingly endless decisions. It is a heart-wrenching and soul-searching story of life and death, written to offer inspiration for others to surrender their strength to God to resolve the mysteries of life. It is deeply close to my heart and so proud of my Mom for publishing a book that she wrote fifteen years ago. It is never too late.

There is no greater time than today to share your gifts with the world. I invite you to dig a little deeper and ask yourself- What is stirring within in me and waiting to be born into the world? This is not a small question here. Give yourself the gift of letting the universe show you the way. I can’t wait to hear what you discover!

p.s. To get your copy of the book, you may find it at: Balboa Press, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.com.

All my love,
Robin
