Have you set up a date with yourself to reflect on the last six months?
I have found the last six months to be some of the most incredible and challenging times in my life. As I continue to follow my heart and take more steps into the unknown, I have received unimaginable gifts. I have found this year to be the year of truly living my passion. For the last five years, I have been implementing the personal and professional knowledge that I gained over almost five years before that.
At a Writer’s Workshop that I attended last weekend in Denver, Reid Tracy, the CEO of Hay House Publishing, stated that, “ It takes 10 years to be an overnight success.”I thought to myself, “Great! I am almost there!” As soon as that thought crossed my mind, I caught myself. I believe in dedicating your time and effort to be successful in anything you do. However, I also believe that we all co-create with a higher power. Our only task is to do the best we can and trust in that higher power to guide the way. Although we may not always feel it, our higher self is always guiding us. Through guiding hundreds of past-life therapy sessions as well as personal experienced, I have seen over and over how the light and love within is always there. I believe that we are never without the love in our hearts. I also believe that success has many meanings.
As I reflect on the last six months, I’ve been given the honor to carry out the signature work from my mentor, Dr. Coletta Long. I am currently writing a book to share her teachings and illustrate how fear often unconsciously holds us back from the love within. Overcoming fear has allowed me to transform every aspect of my life. I have realized that my dreams of working and exploring the world is possible, and that I can actually serve the world in a greater way by living my dreams. I have also learned that the more I serve the world through teaching, art, and Wrapped in Love, I feel just plain happy.
Ghandi taught us, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” Are you allowing 2014 to be the year that you follow your heart? Are you living your dreams? It is never too late to start right now. Let this July begin with a celebration of where you have been and where you are going this 2014.
The last time I heard from Coletta was on Facebook. She had included me as part of her family, which means more than my heart can express. Searching for her tonight, I was lead to you. I have a catch in my heart … especially seeing you are carrying on her legacy. Can you please email me. Thank you so much.
