We are learning more and more how we hold the power to change our own state of mind. We begin by changing our belief in ourselves so that we can release the obstacles and begin to identify with new resources. I learned through my mentor Dr. Coletta Long, an expert in the subconscious mind, that beliefs cause our behavior to rise to meet our expectations. The belief is tapping into our subconscious, pulling out more potential, and rising above the fear that limits is how Dr. Long has trained me to help people create lasting change. Our new behavior goes into action and through trial and success is ready to move to a higher level—all based on our beliefs.

Imagine the conscious mind as a window through which you look outward and perceive the fruits of your subconscious mind. This subconscious also has access to all of the creative energy and wisdom of the universe and draws upon that energy when the energies of fear are not dominating your conscious mind.

This means that your joy, vitality and accomplishment do not come from the outside as the result of events that “happen to you”; they manifest from the inner processes of the subconscious mind that result from your beliefs.

The subconscious can be drawing upon information or energy that may be the source of our problems. Yet, although we often let false beliefs blur that great vision, we do have the power to let go of these beliefs and clarify our vision. This is when we can feel the vision in our heart and let the feeling guide us toward the desire. Knowing the universal laws and the way the mind works can help integrate a solid understanding.

The law of growth is one of the easiest laws to understand.

All of life is in a constant state of growth. Or another way to say this is that everything is always transforming, even you! Your growth has been determined by the seeds you have planted in the past, and your future transformation will depend on what you choose to plant now. If you have decided you want to grow in love, harmony, peace, and happiness, you need to plant those seeds now so you can grow into those states of being.

In short, through seeking wisdom and living in the expression of love, we naturally find harmony and balance. It is when we are living life full out in love and harmony that we no longer carry the karma that is pulling us towards experiences that we chose to help us learn in the school of life.

We are here to evolve our souls and we are the only ones that are in control of the choices we make and actions we take. @RobinEmmerich (Click to Tweet!)

A friend of mine arrived one day torn over her current intimate relationship. As she opened up about the relationship, she stated that she was afraid of staying in the relationship in case things didn’t work out. In truth, she had been on a beautiful path of personal growth and for the first time in her life, she had attracted a man that was willing to commit to her, willing to learn and grow, and wanted to learn to communicate together. I suggested that we start with the thoughts in her mind, which she identified as, “I am afraid of making a mistake. “ Once she said it out loud, she followed with, “I don’t deserve a relationship.” These thoughts were keeping her stuck and holding her black from having the relationship she wanted.

Through my Emotional Reset Method, we released the energy of fear and received clarity on her truth. Receiving what she had wanted for so long brought up another layer of fear. To some level, we are all afraid of not being loved and accepted. Until we uncover the thought pattern or doubt, we cannot work with the fear. Creating the awareness, uncovering the truth and choosing to accept it would allow her to move forward. Her heart desired to be in a healthy relationship, and raise a child from that place. She had grown up in a dysfunctional family and did not want to repeat the same patterns. She was divinely guided to a man that was into personal growth, desired a healthy family and wanted children as well. Knowing that sometimes our biggest fear is standing in our own power, I asked her, “What would it be like for you to stand fully in your power and trust yourself enough to give the relationship a chance?”

What is true is that there are no guarantees, but how would it feel to not take the risk? She immediately knew that it was time to commit to her own heart and step fully into the relationship. When we commit to our own hearts to make the choices that are in our highest good, we hold the power to take control of our lives.

Through this process, one of the common challenges people face is, “I don’t know what I want yet.” It is completely normal. Our purpose is to discover our desires and have fun in the process!

Once we start, we begin to learn more of what we want. Sometimes it is necessary to experience the contrast of what we don’t want so that we can see what we do want. Life constantly provides the contrast to guide us in the journey. When we can see what we don’t want, we can turn it around and discover what we do want.

As the heart awakens, new desires often emerge. Clarity on what we desire and why creates conscious change. To change the belief system may require a loss of support in our present environment. Even though it is not working, we may fear that a replacement might give us less.  The fear leads us to cling to what we already have because we haven’t experienced the support within ourselves. Connecting with our own inner strength and power allows us to create authentic change.

Without growth and challenges, we often experience discontent and rarely growth without discomfort. As frustration rises, we are receiving a signal to look at what is ready to be set free or a new direction ahead. We always know what is best for ourselves. Awareness is key to choosing happiness and success. How can you use the law of growth to create the change that you want to see in your life?
