Spring cleaning is over and April has arrived to spring us into action!
What have you desired to do, but have been holding back from? Do you want to commit to a healthier diet, a new workout routine, get back into dating again, or achieve new career heights? Now is the time to re-focus and train your brain to attract the desires that have been burning in your heart.
It is a fact. You are human. As a human, you can get in your own way without even knowing it. So how do you get out of your own way? No matter what you desire in your life, to achieve success you must address the “why” behind the desire.
Starting with “why” will fuel your mind and body on that lazy rainy day. Let’s say that you want to commit to 30 days of yoga. Before starting your 30 day challenge:
- First, ask yourself, WHY! “Why do I want to enter this yoga challenge?” Do you want to get in shape for summer, do you want to feel more peace and balance in your life, or are you simply just up for a challenge?
- Second, check in with your calendar and schedule it! Get the next 30 days of yoga on your calendar. If it is not scheduled, it may not really happen! I personally prefer to have a physical calendar so that I can visualize my days and check off important events or tasks at the end of the day.
- Third, if you find yourself making excuses, get honest with yourself immediately! Is your mind talking you into skipping just one day, or is your body feeling really sore and you know in your heart that you need a day off to repair and strengthen your body? Trust your immediate answer and trust your gut!
You have the power to do anything that you set your mind to. The more that you practice self-care and actionable steps, the more you will attract what you really want into your life.
